T\u00fcrk\u00e7e anlam\u0131 ise <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u201cRastgele Eri\u015filebilir Bellek\u201d <\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\"> anlam\u0131na gelmektedir. Ad\u0131ndan anla\u015f\u0131laca\u011f\u0131 \u00fczere depolama ayg\u0131t\u0131d\u0131r. <\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\"> RAM, bilgisayar<\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\">\u0131n\u0131z\u0131 olu\u015fturan en \u00f6nemli par\u00e7alardan biridir.<\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\"> Bilgisayarlar <\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\">a\u00e7\u0131ld\u0131klar\u0131 andan itibaren <\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\">\u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131klar\u0131 programlar ve i\u015flemlerle ilgili bilgileri RAM <\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\">\u00fczerinde <\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\">tutarlar. <\/span><span lang=\"tr-TR\">Sabit disklerde kal\u0131c\u0131 bilgiler tutulurken RAM \u00fczerinde ge\u00e7ici anl\u0131k bilgiler tutulmaktad\u0131r. DDR SDRAM geleneksel SDRAM gibi \u201cparalel veri yolu\u201d mimarisini kullan\u0131r fakat daha az g\u00fc\u00e7 harcar. \u00dcretim maliyeti olarak da SDRAM\u2019lardan pek bir fark\u0131 olmayan DDR RAM\u2019lar, geni\u015f veri yolu gerektiren multimedya uygulamalar\u0131nda \u00e7ok olumlu sonu\u00e7lar vermi\u015ftir. SO-DIMM mod\u00fclleri ise 200 pinlidir. DDR2 SDRAM 64 bit veri geni\u015fli\u011fine sahiptir. DDR3 SDRAM\u2019\u0131n \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 i\u00e7in 1,5 V gerilim gerekmektedir.
